Results from trials & security aspects The challenge for telecom operators is to use the Web Services concept and products for the deployment of telecom services. This means that on the one hand products must be carrier grade, but on the other hand operators must gain practical experiences in managing and provisioning services. This session will present results from experiments and trials with Web Services products. It will also take a close look at security issues and how they can be solved. |

Session 5 |
Integration of web-services to business processes Web Services are often atomic and simple operations. In order to realise more advanced services it is necessary to combine them in a determined way. Unfortunately, the set of standards for Web Services (XML, SOAP; WSDL and UDDI) does not provide the means for orchestration, i.e. to describe the collaboration of Web Services. This session will give an overviewof the different methods and specifications for orchestration of web services to a higher value service, and show how Web Services can be integrated into business processes. It will also present an approach for how the whole service lifecycle can be effectively managed. |
