DESCRIPTION:This year’s Digital Summit\, which has as its theme “Digital Germany-Innovative. Sovereign. International”\, will take place in Frankfurt am Main\, Germany on the 21st and 22nd of October 2024.\n\n\n\n\nThere\, the Federal Government will discuss vital issues for our future\, such as digital innovation\, digital sovereignty and international cooperation\, with over 1000 citizens from private and public sectors\, the scientific community and civil society. \nFederal Chancellor Olaf Scholz\, Federal Minister for Digital Dr Volker Wissing\, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Dr Robert Habeck and other members of the Federal Cabinet will be there to answer questions on their digital policy and explain their ambitions for Germany as a digital hub. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHesse as a partner state and Frankfurt am Main as the venue\n\n\n\n\n\nBased on their impressive application\, the federal state of Hesse and the city of Frankfurt were chosen to host this year’s Digital Summit. As one of the most important centres of the German financial and digital sectors\, Frankfurt has a strong data centre landscape and great research expertise\, making it an ideal setting for the 2024 Digital Summit. The Federal Government’s summit can truly become a holistic experience for citizens there. The Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport and the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action are organizing this year’s Digital Summit. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFocus on innovation\, sovereignty and internationality\n\n\n\n\n\nDigital innovation shapes our society in a variety of ways. It is a key driver of our economic prosperity. We cannot have digital innovation and a resilient society without digital sovereignty\, which is strengthened by a shared international value set. DESCRIPTION:CENTRIC co-workshop participation at Europe’s #1 destination for EU research collaboration and market opportunities with 6G-TWIN\, COALESSCE\, BeGREEN\, and IN2CCAM projects\n\n\n\n\n\nCENTRIC will organise with several other projects a workshop at the 12th annual edition of Sustainable Places (SP2024) is a hybrid event\, from 23rd to 25th September 2024\, with the in-person sessions hosted in Luxembourg.\n\nThe speaker representing the CENTRIC project will be given by Francesco Malandrino from CNR\, Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche. Renowned for showcasing results coming out of the EU Horizon 2020 and EU Horizon Europe Framework Programme via the participation of cutting-edge research and innovation projects\, the scope of Sustainable Places is captured directly in its name. It involves designing\, building and retrofitting the places we live and work more sustainably. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nConference Concept\n\n\n\n\n\nSustainable Places prides itself on being an ideal platform for the dissemination of research\, the conduct of workshops\, EU project clustering and networking between stakeholders of all types. SP2024 will be held over three days in a hybrid (digital + in-person) event format. Between opening and closing keynote sessions\, parallel technical sessions and project-organized workshops will explore the various conference themes. Given world events we encouraged submissions on technology transfer\, renewable energy implementations and energy security to facilitate actions that increase the rate of renovation and renewable energy implementations. \n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWatch the 2023 highlights\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nConference Themes\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEach year\, Sustainable Places features topics that are shaping how we think about cities and the built environment. Join the next European Researchers’ Night on 27 September 2024 for an unforgettable experience. \nWould you like to interact with researchers all year round? Researchers at Schools will bring the wonders of science directly to classrooms in selected European cities\, where amazing researchers will show their work to your pupils through presentations\, hands-on experiments\, visits to labs\, games\, discussions and role-playing. And for our Belgian audience: we have good news! In 2024\, we are happy to welcome a Belgian initiative back for the first time in years!
