Francesco Spiri is an AI Researcher, Data Scientist, and Project Assistant at Eurescom, focusing on high-performance computing, internal analytics, and proprietary AI model development.

He has been developing software from an early age, starting as an independent developer for various projects. His career began in low-level systems architecture, driven by a focus on computational efficiency and a passion for linear algebra, mathematical modeling, and hardware-software optimization. Over time, he applied these core concepts to memory tuning, code vectorization, and database performance. Expanding into frontier technologies, he conducted freelance research on quantum systems focusing on accelerating quantum algorithms, Quantum Fourier Transform optimizations, phase estimation, and qubit signal analysis, before transitioning into Data Science, Data Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence, the field which is currently giving him many satisfactions.

Amal Malamel Anto joined Eurescom GmbH in October 2022 and works in software and web application development.

He holds a Master of Science degree in Applied Computer Science from SRH Hochschule Heidelberg. At Eurescom, he contributes to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of digital platforms supporting European research and innovation programmes. His work includes implementing new features, modernising existing systems, managing databases, integrating external services, troubleshooting technical issues, and translating operational requirements into practical software solutions.

His expertise includes web application development, database design, legacy application modernisation, system integration, requirements analysis, and technical problem-solving. He combines technical knowledge with an understanding of business processes to support the reliable operation and continued development of Eurescom’s digital platforms.
