Travel information – how to get to Eurescom
Arriving by plane
The recommended airport is Frankfurt Airport (https://www.frankfurt-airport.com/en.html) which is approximately 80 km away from Heidelberg, i.e. less than one hour driving.
Alternatives are the following – rental car is recommended to continue to Heidelberg:
- Stuttgart (130 km, https://www.stuttgart-airport.com/?cl=en)
- Strasbourg (160 km, https://www.strasbourg.aeroport.fr/en )
- Frankfurt Hahn (160 km; used by low-cost carriers such as Ryanair and WizzAir, https://www.hahn-airport.de/en)
- Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden (90 km, used by low-cost carriers, https://www.baden-airpark.de/en/).
If you arrive at Frankfurt you have the following possibilities to continue to Heidelberg:
1) Frankfurt Airport Shuttle
This Shuttle Bus has three stops in Heidelberg: Marriott Hotel (pre-announcement necessary), NH Collection Hotel, and Bahnhofstraße. Charges: one way € 30.00 (with a Lufthansa flight ticket), € 32.00 (without a Lufthansa flight ticket). Pre-booking is recommended. To proceed from NH Collection Hotel or Bahnhofstraße to Eurescom you can either take a taxi (duration 10 -15 minutes) or tram number 5 from in direction to Mannheim; it takes you in less than 10min to the stop “Berufsschule” from where it’s only a short walk. The Marriott Hotel is in walking distance of about 15 minutes.
2) Limousine Service (TLS Minibus)

3) Arriving by train

From the main station in Heidelberg you can reach us by taxi (takes approximately 5 mins) or you can take the tram line 5 in the direction of Mannheim and get off the tram at the second stop “Berufsschule” (takes approximately 2 minutes). You will see HIS – Heidelberg International School. From there turn left into Wieblinger Weg. After 100m you will see the Eurescom building.
Kurfürsten-Anlage 23, Heidelberg
Tram number 5 stops directly in front and takes you in less than 10 min to Berufsschule from where it’s only a short walk.
