David Kennedy is Director of Eurescom. He has served in this role since 2005. Under his leadership, Eurescom has become a major provider of programme and project management services for European RDI initiatives and projects in the ICT area and beyond.
Prior to joining Eurescom in 1997 as programme and project manager, he worked for Irish telecom network operator eircom and their collaborative research subsidiary Broadcom. In addition, he also spent a few years working with Ericsson in Ireland.
He has been driving a number of European research initiatives, including Eureka Cluster CELTIC and its successors, the New European Media Initiative (NEM), the Future Internet PPP, and the 5G Infrastructure PPP.
